There are over 3,000 different species of mosquitoes in the world, and they are the deadliest animals on Earth, killing close to a million people a year and sickening millions more, with diseases like Malaria, West Nile, Dengue, and Chikungunya.

In North Carolina, we are concerned with West Nile virus, Eastern Equine Encephalitis and La Crosse Encephalitis being spread by the mosquitos and studies show that mosquitos play an essential role in the life cycle of Heartworms, that affect our pets.

The Asian Tiger Mosquito (Aedes Albopictus), which was discovered in 1985 in Texas, is the primary cause of mosquito bites in our part of North Carolina. The tiger mosquito is approximately 3/16 inch in length and is recognized because of its black/white striping.

Are you aware that male mosquitoes do not bite, and that they feed on plant nectar, much like bees. Female mosquitoes are the active feeders that need a blood meal to help with the development their eggs, prior to laying them. Mosquitoes are attracted to CO2, and some people are more susceptible to mosquito bites than other people.

Mosquito Lifespan: Male Mosquitoes live 2-3 weeks and Female Mosquitoes live about a month. Female Mosquitoes will lay up to 200 mosquito eggs in either standing water or moist soil, where the eggs can survive through a winter and desiccation for up to 1 year. Mosquito Larvae can develop in less than one ounce of water, think of a soda bottle lid, so breeding sites can be anywhere.

Our Mosquito Control Program uses a combination of In2Care pots and localized treatment of foliage, using botanical products. Our program is custom designed for your home and works towards providing mosquito reduction for you and your family, while reducing the impact on beneficial pollinators, such as bees and butterflies.

Step 1: Property Inspection: An in-depth visual inspection of your entire property along with understanding your lifestyle, will help us determine the best place to install the In2Care pots. 

Step 2: In2Care Pots are placed in those locations to help in the reduction of the mosquito population.

Step 3: In2Care Pot maintenance: We auto schedule our customers so that we are inspecting and replacing the In2Care sachets monthly. We also monitor the pots and refill with water as needed.

Step 4: Localized treatment of foliage: We use botanical or natural products to treat areas where mosquitos are congregating, helping us to get a quicker knock down and supplement the mosquito pots, as needed. We recommend that you allow the material to dry before reentering the area.

Mosquito season is from March through October. We set pots in March, service them monthly and then remove the pots at the end of the season, cleaning and storing them, so there is nothing for you to worry about.
