While there are over 3,000 different species of mosquitoes, the Asian Tiger Mosquito, “Aedes Albopictus”, is the primary cause of Mosquito Bites in and around triad area of North Carolina. The tiger mosquito is approximately 3/16 inch in length and is recognized because of its black/white striping. Male Mosquitoes feed on plant nectar, much like bees, but not blood, it is the Female mosquitoes, active daytime feeders that need blood in order to help with the development of their eggs prior to laying them. Mosquitoes Virus includes, West Nile, Chikungunya, Dengue, Encephalitis and they can also spread Heartworms to pets. An estimated one million people die every year from a Mosquito Borne Virus.

Mosquito Lifespan: Male Mosquitoes live 2-3 weeks and Female Mosquitoes live about a month. Female Mosquitoes will lay up to 200 Mosquito Eggs in either standing water or moist soil, where they can survive through a winter and desiccation for up to 1 year, which allows for an infestation to quickly get out of hand. Mosquito Larvae can also develop in less than one ounce of water, so breeding sites are anywhere.

Our Mosquito Control Program is a "non fogging" program that will work towards reducing mosquitoes for you, without harming beneficial pollinators, such as bees and butterfly's.

Our Mosquito Program uses the In2Care System "Mosquito Pots".  Click here to see a video on how the In2Care System works.

Step 1: Mosquito Inspection: An in-depth visual inspection of your entire property along with an interview will help us determine the best place to install the mosquito pots.

Step 2: Mosquito Traps/Pots are placed in these locations to help in the reduction of the mosquito population. This option is more of an environmentally friendly option then traditional Mosquito Fogging.

Step 3: Trap/Pot maintenance: We inspect and monitor the pots monthly. Water may need to be topped off, depending on the climate and we also replace the In2Care Sachets.

Mosquito season is March thru October. We will remove the pots at the end of the season and then reinstall them at the beginning of the next season.
