In advance of Halloween and in the spirit of pumpkin season, children at Tucson Medical Center for Children were treated to a Spooktacular Halloween event hosted by Truly Nolen on Tuesday, October 29.
Truly Nolen donated 40 plastic pumpkins and pumpkin decorating kits (including a funny face, scarecrow, princess, or cat) to create a fun and festive no-carve pumpkin activity for the children during the event, and the team members making the delivery included Michelle Nolen Senner, Director of Special Projects and one of the late Truly David Nolen’s children, were decked out in their best costumed attire to get fully into the Halloween spirit.
Additionally, each child received a treat bag filled with goodies including Truly Spooktacular Halloween-themed coloring sheets, crayons, stickers, a mouse car stress ball, and more.
This activity, which began in 2014 with the company's inaugural visit to this hospital, has grown exponentially over the last five years. By the end of October 2019, the company had visited 22 hospitals and children's facilities across six states, and the Spooktacular program remains one of the company's favorite ways to add value to the lives it touches.
